Tangs include a wide range of larger, mostly reef safe herbivore fish such as the ever popular "Dory" Blue / Hippo, Yellow, Purple, Sailfin and others from the Zebrasoma family as well as The Acathurus tangs including the Powder Blue Powder Brown, and the Ctenochaetus family such as the Kole and Tomini Tangs.

The name comes from the fish's "scalpel" or sharp barbs on the tail used to defend and attack which is also where the name Surgeonfish (NOT STURGEON.)  There is no relation to the drink mix offered by General Foods or any of the astronauts.
