Corals - Small Polyp Stony (SPS)
Moderate SPS (Small Polyp Stony) corals are more demanding than LPS but generally easier than acropora. They require higher lighting and flow, stable parameters, and benefit from supplemental feeding of amino acids and planktonic foods.
Difficult SPS corals, such as Acropora and Millipora, are considered advanced-level corals. They demand pristine water quality, strong random flow, and high-intensity lighting. Stability is key, as even small parameter swings can cause tissue loss.
