WWC Yellow Submarine Favia Coral
Species: Favia spp.
Coral Type: LPS Coral / Favia
WWC Yellow Submarine Favia is a striking large polyp stony coral prized for its vibrant yellow coloration and distinctive fleshy polyp structure. Each corallite features rich yellow tones that can become especially vivid under blue-spectrum lighting, creating a bright and eye-catching contrast against the surrounding reef. As the colony grows, it develops a dense, encrusting formation with clearly defined corallites, making it an excellent choice for adding bold color and texture to the reef aquarium.
Coral Type: LPS Coral / Favia
Lighting: Low to Moderate lighting requirements (approximately 50–150 PAR)
Flow Rate: Low to Moderate; gentle, indirect water movement helps keep the coral clean while allowing the fleshy polyps to fully expand
Food Requirements: Photosynthetic through symbiotic zooxanthellae; supplemental feeding of small meaty foods or fine particulate coral foods can support growth and overall health
Aggression: Semi-Aggressive; Favia corals can develop sweeper tentacles at night and should be given adequate space from neighboring corals
Placement: Best placed on stable rockwork or a dedicated area of the reef where it has room to expand without coming into contact with nearby corals. Avoid placing it directly under strong, concentrated flow or lighting.
We maintain a rigorous, veterinarian-approved quarantine program that includes proactive treatments, careful observation, and daily monitoring to ensure the highest standards of coral and invertebrate health. Our biosecurity practices reduce the risk of cross-contamination between systems, meaning all of our livestock are carefully quarantined and prepared for your display tank.
