WWC Silverleaf Pavona
Species: Pavona spp.
Coral Type: SPS Coral / Plating Coral
WWC Silverleaf Pavona is a distinctive small polyp stony coral prized for its intricate growth pattern and unique coloration. As the colony develops, it forms thin, plating to encrusting structures covered with densely arranged corallites, creating a highly textured appearance across the surface. Its contrasting tones and subtle fluorescent highlights can become especially pronounced under blue-spectrum and actinic lighting, making it an excellent choice for adding dimension and texture to an established reef aquarium.
Coral Type: SPS Coral / Pavona
Lighting: Moderate lighting requirements (approximately 100–250 PAR)
Flow Rate: Moderate to High; consistent, turbulent water movement helps deliver nutrients and oxygen while preventing debris from accumulating across the plating surfaces
Food Requirements: Primarily photosynthetic through symbiotic zooxanthellae; occasional feedings of fine particulate coral foods may support growth, coloration, and overall health
Aggression: Peaceful to Semi-Aggressive; generally not highly aggressive, but adequate spacing should be maintained as the colony expands across surrounding rockwork
Placement: Best placed on stable mid-level to upper rockwork where it can receive consistent lighting and moderate to strong, turbulent flow. Allow sufficient room for the plating colony to expand without contacting neighboring corals.
We maintain a rigorous, veterinarian-approved quarantine program that includes proactive treatments, careful observation, and daily monitoring to ensure the highest standards of coral and invertebrate health. Our biosecurity practices reduce the risk of cross-contamination between systems, meaning all of our livestock are carefully quarantined and prepared for your display tank.
