WWC Pulsing Xenia Coral

Species: Xenia spp.
Coral Type: Soft Coral / Pulsing Coral

Description:
WWC Pulsing Xenia Coral is a fascinating soft coral known for its rhythmic, pulsing polyps and graceful, flowing appearance. Its delicate tentacles continuously open and close, adding captivating movement and texture to a reef aquarium. Under suitable conditions, this fast-growing coral can form an attractive colony, making it a popular choice for aquarists seeking a dynamic reef display. Growth rates and pulsing behavior can vary depending on water conditions and individual specimens.

Coral Type: Soft Coral / Pulsing Xenia
Lighting: Low to Moderate — approximately 50–150 PAR
Flow Rate: Low to Moderate, with gentle, indirect flow that allows the polyps to pulse freely
Food Requirements: Primarily photosynthetic; supplemental feeding is generally not necessary, though stable water quality and appropriate nutrients support healthy growth
Aggression: Generally non-aggressive, but can spread rapidly and overgrow nearby corals
Placement: Place on an isolated rock or separate island where its spreading growth can be managed. Monitor its expansion to prevent it from crowding neighboring corals.

Quarantine & Biosecurity:
We maintain a rigorous, veterinarian-approved quarantine program designed to protect the health of our coral collection and help reduce the introduction of unwanted pests and pathogens. Each coral is carefully inspected and monitored before being made available, providing an added layer of confidence when introducing new specimens to your reef system.
