WWC Frozen Grape Chalice is a highly desirable chalice coral known for its rich coloration and smooth, fleshy encrusting growth. It forms a thick, plate-like structure that slowly spreads across rockwork, developing large, rounded corallites with a glossy, almost waxy surface. The “Frozen Grape” morph is especially prized for its deep purple to violet base coloration contrasted with bright fluorescent accents—often neon green, teal, or icy blue eyes that give it a frosted, jewel-like appearance.
Under actinic or blue-spectrum lighting, the contrast between the dark grape tones and glowing centers becomes extremely vivid, creating a striking, low-profile focal coral in shaded reef areas.

Lighting: Low to Moderate (approximately 40–120 PAR) — prefers shaded or indirect lighting

Placement: Best placed on lower to mid rockwork or shaded ledges where it can encrust slowly without strong light exposure or direct competition
