Watchman – Yellow – Medium – Halichoeres sp. (Yellow Watchman Wrasse)

The Yellow Watchman Wrasse – Medium displays a bright yellow body with subtle blue highlights near the eyes and fins, showing the bold, confident coloration of a maturing specimen. It is an active, curious fish that patrols sandbeds and rockwork, helping control small pest invertebrates while demonstrating its characteristic darting and hovering movements. Its peaceful yet lively temperament makes it a standout in reef communities.

This wrasse thrives in mature, stable reef tanks with ample live rock, hiding places, and a deep sandbed for burrowing and foraging. Introduce only after the tank has fully cycled and water parameters are stable. A minimum tank size of 50 gallons is recommended to accommodate its increased activity and swimming space.

It feeds on finely sized meaty foods from San Francisco, Hikari, PE, TDO, and New Life Spectrum, and will also accept live or frozen copepods and amphipods to support natural foraging behavior.
