Physical description:
The Tomini Tang boasts a sleek, olive-brown to tan body with subtle golden flecks around the face and a striking white caudal (tail) fin. Its dorsal and anal fins flare with vivid yellow or orange tips, giving it a warm, flame-fin appearance. When mature, its body deepens in tone while the fin coloration remains brilliantly contrasted. Behavioral description:
A generally peaceful but somewhat territorial species, the Tomini Tang may assert dominance over other tangs, especially those in its own genus. Suitable tank description:
Tomini Tangs do best in a mature, stable reef aquarium with both ample live rock for grazing and open swimming areas. Most hobbyists recommend adding them after your system has cycled fully.
