TG Hybrid Hydnophora – Hydnophora sp.
The TG Hybrid Hydnophora displays striking neon green to teal branching structures with contrasting polyp tips that glow intensely under blue spectrum lighting. This coral features tightly spaced, small polyps over a dense, sculpted skeleton, giving it a textured, almost “fused” appearance. Known for its rapid growth and bold coloration, it also demonstrates strong nighttime feeding behavior and is considered an aggressive SPS with potent sweeper tentacles.
Hydnophora thrives in mature reef tanks with stable parameters, moderate–strong lighting, and chaotic flow to keep its tissues clean and vibrant. Add this coral after the system has fully stabilized—typically several months into maturity—to avoid parameter swings. A minimum tank size of 30 gallons is recommended due to its fast growth and aggressive reach.
Primarily photosynthetic, Hydnophora responds well to occasional feedings of small-particle foods such as San Francisco or Hikari zooplankton diets, PE reef blends, TDO micro pellets, and New Life Spectrum coral foods.
