The Springeri Dottyback is a vibrant and small reef fish known for its stunning purple-blue body with striking yellow accents around its tail and pectoral fins. Active and territorial, it adds both color and movement to the aquarium while patrolling its space among rocks and corals. Typically peaceful with other non-aggressive tankmates, it may show aggression toward similar-sized or similarly shaped fish, particularly when defending its territory.

Springeri Dottybacks thrive in established reef tanks with stable water parameters, moderate flow, and plenty of live rock or crevices for shelter. Introduce only to mature systems to reduce stress and ensure successful acclimation. A minimum tank size of 20 gallons is recommended, though larger tanks offer more space for territorial behavior and multiple fish.

Their diet should include high-quality frozen or pellet foods from San Francisco Bay Brand, Hikari, PE, TDO, and New Life Spectrum, with a preference for protein-rich foods to support health and vibrant coloration. Target feeding can encourage active behavior and natural foraging.
