Orange Claw Pistol Shrimp thrive in established reef tanks with stable water parameters, fine sand substrate for burrowing, and rockwork or crevices for shelter. Introduce them only after the system is mature to reduce stress and ensure stability. A minimum tank size of 20 gallons is recommended to provide adequate space for natural behaviors and burrow construction.

Their diet can be supplemented with finely chopped or pellet foods from San Francisco Bay Brand, Hikari, PE, TDO, and New Life Spectrum to support optimal health alongside natural detritus and microfauna consumption. Target feeding encourages active foraging and long-term vitality.
