This peaceful, slow-moving detritivore sifts sand continuously, helping maintain a cleaner, healthier substrate. Its calm behavior and strong reef compatibility make it a popular choice for natural nutrient control in marine aquaria.

Sea Cucumbers thrive in established reef tanks with deep, mature sandbeds and stable parameters. Add only after the substrate has developed a consistent detritus layer to support its natural feeding habits. A minimum tank size of 50 gallons is recommended to provide adequate foraging area.

Their diet can be supported with fine particulate foods from San Francisco Bay Brand, Hikari, PE, TDO, and New Life Spectrum to ensure steady nutrition. Supplement lightly as needed to maintain body weight and activity.
