Physical & Behavioral Description
The Percula Clownfish is a classic and highly recognizable species, featuring a vibrant orange body with three crisp white bands outlined in bold black edging. Compared to Ocellaris, Perculas often display thicker black margins, giving them a more contrasted appearance. Adults typically reach around 3 inches in length and maintain a hardy, laterally compressed body. They are semi-aggressive, especially when hosting or defending territory, but generally remain suitable for peaceful reef aquariums.

Suitable Tank Description
Well-suited for reef and fish-only systems of 18 gallons or larger, with stable water parameters and moderate flow. It is best to add Percula Clownfish early to mid-stocking to allow them to establish territory before introducing more aggressive species. They readily host anemones such as Bubble Tip Anemones but do not require one to thrive in captivity.

Diet Description
An omnivore that accepts a wide variety of foods, including high-quality pellets like New Life Spectrum Marine Formula or TDO Chromaboost, as well as frozen options such as PE Mysis and Hikari Brine Shrimp. A varied diet helps maintain vibrant coloration and strong overall health.
