The Scartella cristata Molly Miller Blenny is a small, hardy reef fish with a mottled brown and tan body, subtle markings, and a charismatic “blenny smile.” Active and curious, it spends much of its time perching on rockwork, darting between crevices, and grazing on algae, helping maintain a healthy aquarium. Its peaceful temperament and engaging behavior make it a favorite for community reef setups.

Molly Miller Blennies thrive in established reef tanks with stable water parameters, plenty of rockwork for perching, and moderate water flow. Introduce only after the system is mature to reduce stress and ensure adequate grazing opportunities. A minimum tank size of 20 gallons is recommended, with larger systems preferred for multiple specimens.

Their diet should include algae-based foods such as Julian Sprung’s Sea Veggies, along with high-quality frozen or pellet foods from San Francisco Bay Brand, Hikari, PE, TDO, and New Life Spectrum to maintain optimal health and coloration. Target feeding supports active grazing behavior.
