Physical & Behavioral Description:
The Helfrichi Firefish features a pastel lavender to purple body that fades to white toward the tail, accented by a bright yellow head and a delicate, elongated dorsal fin. This small dartfish is naturally shy and skittish, often hovering just above the substrate or darting into crevices at the first sign of danger. As a monogamous species, it may form pairs, but individuals can be territorial toward conspecifics.

Tank Description:
Best suited for a peaceful, well‑established reef setup, the Helfrichi Firefish needs plenty of rockwork with caves and crevices for hiding. Because they are jumpers, a tight-fitting lid is essential. For optimal well‑being, introduce them only after your tank is fully cycled; a minimum tank size of ~20 gallons is recommended for a single specimen.

Diet:
Carnivorous by nature, Helfrichi Firefish thrive on a varied meaty diet rich in zooplankton — in a captive reef environment, feed them high-quality frozen foods like mysis and brine shrimp from trusted brands.
