Harlequin Shrimp thrive in established reef tanks with stable water parameters, moderate flow, and ample rockwork or crevices for shelter. Introduce only to mature systems to ensure adequate food availability and reduce stress. A minimum tank size of 20 gallons is recommended to provide space for natural foraging and territorial behavior.

Their diet should primarily consist of starfish, supplemented with high-quality frozen foods from San Francisco Bay Brand, Hikari, PE, TDO, and New Life Spectrum if necessary. Target feeding ensures proper nutrition and encourages natural predatory behavior.
