The Gladiator / Davinci Clownfish is a designer variant of Amphiprion ocellaris, featuring bold, irregular white striping contrasted against vibrant orange, with unique patterning on each individual. Adults typically reach 3–3.5 inches in length and maintain a compact, laterally compressed body. Like other Ocellaris clownfish, they are hardy, adaptable, and ideal for both beginner and advanced reef hobbyists. They exhibit semi-aggressive behavior, especially when hosting, but generally coexist well with peaceful tankmates.
Suitable Tank Description
Best suited for reef and fish-only systems of at least 20 gallons, with stable parameters and moderate flow. Add Gladiator / Davinci Clownfish early to mid-stocking to help establish territory before more aggressive species are introduced. While they may host anemones such as Bubble Tip Anemones, hosting is not required for long-term health.
Diet Description
An omnivore that readily accepts a varied diet including high-quality pellets like New Life Spectrum Marine Formula or TDO Chromaboost, along with frozen foods such as PE Mysis and Hikari Brine Shrimp. Offering a mix of prepared and frozen foods will promote optimal coloration and overall health.
