Flame Tailspot Cardinalfish

Flame Tailspot Cardinal - Apogon spp.

The Flame Cardinalfish, also know as the Flamefish, is a peaceful reef tank inhabitant that is excellent for almost all size reef aquariums.  With its fiery red coloration, this slow swimmer works well as a mated pair or in large groups.  It is sometimes know to be semi-aggressive to other cardinal species.  

Classified as a hardy and easy fish in the care department, the Flame Tailspot Cardinalfish, makes for a good starter fish for new hobbyists just setting up a reef aquarium. 

The Flamefish, requires a carnivorous diet consisting of chopped meaty items, vitamin enriched brine and mysis shrimp and flake foods.
