ECC Wild Ride Chalice

ECC Wild Ride Chalice

Species: Echinophyllia spp.
Coral Type: LPS Coral / Chalice

Description:
ECC Wild Ride Chalice is a striking large polyp stony coral valued for its distinctive coloration, textured surface, and encrusting growth pattern. Its intricate corallites and vivid appearance create a beautiful focal point in a colorful reef aquarium. With stable water parameters, appropriate lighting, and gentle to moderate water movement, this chalice coral can gradually expand across its mounting surface and add depth to your reefscape.

Coral Type: LPS Coral / Chalice
Lighting: Low to Moderate — approximately 50–150 PAR
Flow Rate: Low to Moderate, with indirect flow to prevent debris from settling on the coral's surface
Food Requirements: Primarily photosynthetic; occasional feeding with small meaty foods or fine particulate coral foods may support growth
Aggression: Semi-aggressive; some chalice corals can extend sweeper tentacles, particularly at night, so provide adequate space from neighboring corals
Placement: Lower to middle rockwork in a stable location with indirect flow and suitable lighting. Leave sufficient space around the colony to accommodate growth and potential sweeper tentacles.

Quarantine & Biosecurity:
We maintain a rigorous, veterinarian-approved quarantine program designed to protect the health of our coral collection and help reduce the introduction of unwanted pests and pathogens. Each coral is carefully inspected and monitored before being made available, providing an added layer of confidence when introducing new specimens to your reef system.
