ECC Seduction Zoanthid

Species: Zoanthus sp.

Coral Type: Zoanthus

Physical Description: Seduction Zoanthids are a colorful colonial coral known for their vibrant pink to magenta centers surrounded by darker rings and contrasting skirts. Each polyp forms a small button-like disk with a fringe of tentacles around the edge, creating the classic zoanthid “flower” appearance. These corals grow by spreading across rockwork and frag plugs, gradually forming dense mats of polyps. Under actinic lighting, their bright coloration fluoresces strongly, making them a standout addition to zoanthid gardens.

Coral Type: Zoanthus
Lighting: Moderate (approximately 80–150 PAR)
Flow Rate: Low to Moderate with gentle, indirect flow
Food Requirements: Primarily photosynthetic but can benefit from occasional broadcast feeding of fine particulate coral foods such as reef roids or phytoplankton.
Aggression: Low; generally peaceful and compatible with most reef-safe corals.
Substrate: Best placed on rockwork, frag plugs, or zoa garden islands where they can spread and form colonies.

We maintain a rigorous, veterinarian-approved quarantine program that includes proactive treatments, careful observation, and daily monitoring to ensure the highest standards of coral and invertebrate health. Our biosecurity practices reduce the risk of any cross-contamination between systems, meaning all our livestock are ready for your display tanks.
