ECC Sakura Zoanthid

Species: Zoanthus sp.

Coral Type: Zoanthus

Physical Description: Sakura Zoanthids are vibrant button polyps known for their soft pink to magenta coloration accented by bright contrasting rings and skirts. Each polyp forms a circular oral disk surrounded by a fringe of short tentacles, creating the classic zoanthid flower-like appearance reminiscent of cherry blossoms. As the colony grows, the polyps spread across rockwork and frag plugs, gradually forming dense mats. Under actinic lighting, their pink and yellow tones fluoresce beautifully, making them a standout addition to zoanthid gardens.

Coral Type: Zoanthus
Lighting: Moderate (approximately 80–150 PAR)
Flow Rate: Low to Moderate with gentle, indirect flow
Food Requirements: Primarily photosynthetic but can benefit from occasional broadcast feeding of fine particulate foods such as reef roids or phytoplankton.
Aggression: Low; generally peaceful and suitable for mixed reef aquariums.
Substrate: Best placed on rockwork, frag plugs, or isolated zoanthid islands where the colony can spread naturally.

We maintain a rigorous, veterinarian-approved quarantine program that includes proactive treatments, careful observation, and daily monitoring to ensure the highest standards of coral and invertebrate health.
