Description:
ECC Mean Machine Favites is a bold and eye-catching LPS coral that brings impressive texture and depth to a reef aquarium. Its tightly packed corallites create a distinctive, sculpted appearance, while its coloration can become especially vibrant under blue and actinic lighting. Given stable reef conditions and adequate space, this Favites can steadily expand into a substantial and attractive colony.

Lighting: Moderate – approximately 75–150 PAR
Flow Rate: Low to Moderate – gentle, indirect flow that helps keep the colony clean while allowing natural polyp extension
Food Requirements: Primarily photosynthetic through its symbiotic zooxanthellae. Occasional small meaty foods or fine particulate coral foods can be offered to provide supplemental nutrition and support healthy growth.
Aggression: Semi-Aggressive – Favites can produce sweeper tentacles at night, so maintain adequate clearance from neighboring corals.
Placement: Best positioned on lower to mid-level rockwork or another stable surface with consistent lighting and gentle flow. Leave sufficient space around the colony for future growth and nighttime sweepers.
