Physical Description: Awesome Blossom Zoanthids are vibrant, high-contrast button polyps admired for their layered coloration and glowing fluorescent appearance. Each polyp typically features a brightly colored oral disk with radiant rings of orange, pink, yellow, or green that blend outward into contrasting skirts, creating a bold “blossom” effect. Under actinic and blue-spectrum lighting, the fluorescent pigments intensify dramatically, giving the colony a luminous glow and exceptional visual depth. As the colony matures, the polyps spread across rockwork and frag plugs, forming dense mats of colorful, flower-like polyps that become a standout feature in mixed reef aquariums.
