The Diadema Dottyback, Purple Stripe Dottyback, is a small but stunning reef fish with a vibrant purple-blue body and striking white accents along its fins and tail, making it a visually captivating addition to any aquarium. Known for its active and territorial nature, it thrives in rock crevices where it can establish a home base while defending its space. Although typically peaceful with larger tankmates, it may show aggression toward smaller, similar-sized fish or other dottybacks.

Diadema Dottybacks thrive in established reef tanks with stable water parameters, moderate flow, and plenty of live rock or crevices for shelter. Introduce only to mature systems to ensure it has a secure environment for both hiding and foraging. A minimum tank size of 20 gallons is recommended to provide sufficient space for its active, territorial behavior.

Their diet should include high-quality frozen or pellet foods from San Francisco Bay Brand, Hikari, PE, TDO, and New Life Spectrum, with a preference for protein-rich foods to maintain vibrant coloration and overall health. Target feeding can help encourage active behavior and foraging.
