Our Assorted Porcelain Crabs are small, attractive crustaceans known for their flat body, delicate claws, and distinctive patterning in shades of brown, purple, and red. Despite their delicate appearance, these crabs are hardy filter-feeders and scavengers, spending much of their time perched on rockwork or nestled into crevices. They are peaceful, reef-associated invertebrates closely related to squat lobsters, making them excellent additions for hobbyists seeking interesting micro-fauna behavior.

Porcelain Crabs thrive in well-established aquariums of at least 10 gallons with plenty of rockwork, cracks, caves, and crevices for grazing and hiding. Commonly found among sponges in the wild, they appreciate mature systems with stable parameters and naturally occurring micro-organisms. Like all invertebrates, they cannot tolerate copper-based medications and require consistent, clean water conditions.

While they feed primarily on organic debris and suspended particles, Porcelain Crabs benefit from supplemental feedings a few times per week. Offer powdered or very small foods, like LRS Nano Reef or ReefRoids, to ensure they receive adequate nutrition and continue to thrive in your home reef.
