Banded Coral Shrimp – Stenopus hispidus

The Banded Coral Shrimp dazzles with bright red and white bands, long white antennae, and distinctive “boxing” pinchers. Active and curious, this peaceful Stenopodidae shrimp adds movement and personality to any reef tank while coexisting with most fish, corals, and invertebrates. Caution: keep individually or as a mated pair to prevent aggression toward other Banded Coral Shrimp.

Ideal for established reef tanks with stable water conditions, it should be added once parameters are stable. Provide plenty of caves and open swimming space; minimum tank size 30 gallons.

A hardy scavenger, the Banded Coral Shrimp accepts pellet and frozen foods from top brands including San Francisco, Hikari, PE, TDO, and New Life Spectrum. Proper feeding supports health, molting, and vibrant coloration.
