The Blue Dot Sleeper Goby is a beautifully patterned fish with a white to light blue body adorned with distinct dark blue spots along its back and tail. Peaceful and active, it spends most of its time sifting sand with its mouth, helping aerate the substrate and keep the tank clean by consuming detritus, uneaten food, and small invertebrates. Its unique behavior of constantly burrowing and its charming, darting movements make it a fascinating addition to any reef tank.

Blue Dot Sleeper Gobies thrive in established reef tanks with stable water parameters, moderate to strong flow, and plenty of sandbed for burrowing. Introduce only to mature systems with ample substrate for natural digging behavior. A minimum tank size of 30 gallons is recommended to ensure enough space for foraging and sand sifting.

Their diet should include high-quality frozen or pellet foods from San Francisco Bay Brand, Hikari, PE, TDO, and New Life Spectrum, supplemented with natural grazing on detritus and small invertebrates. Target feeding encourages robust health and natural sand-sifting activity.
