The Queen Angelfish is a breathtaking marine fish, showcasing a vibrant mix of electric blue and yellow with striking turquoise highlights along its body and fins. Active and curious, it spends much of its time grazing on sponges, tunicates, and algae, adding both color and natural movement to reef aquariums. While generally peaceful toward larger fish, it may nip at corals or small invertebrates, so careful tank selection is advised in reef-heavy systems.

Queen Angelfish thrive in established reef tanks with stable water parameters, abundant live rock for grazing, and wide open swimming areas. Introduce only to mature systems to reduce stress and ensure proper acclimation. A minimum tank size of 180 gallons is recommended to support their active swimming and territorial behavior.

Their diet should include high-quality frozen or pellet foods from San Francisco Bay Brand, Hikari, PE, TDO, and New Life Spectrum, supplemented with algae-based foods and marine sponges to maintain vibrant coloration and optimal health. Target feeding encourages natural foraging behavior and robust vitality.
