WWC Toxic Glow Montipora

Species: Montipora spp.

Coral Type: SPS (Small Polyp Stony Coral)

WWC Toxic Glow Montipora is a high-impact SPS coral prized for its extreme fluorescence and vivid, electric coloration. It typically grows in encrusting to plating formations, spreading across rockwork in smooth, layered sheets. The surface is covered in fine polyps that create a subtle texture beneath its intense coloration. The “Toxic Glow” morph is known for its neon green to chartreuse base tissue contrasted with glowing orange, yellow, or teal polyps that stand out dramatically under blue-spectrum lighting.

As it develops, this Montipora forms expanding plates that create a bright, glowing centerpiece in SPS reef systems.

Coral Type: SPS
Lighting: Moderate to High (approximately 150–300 PAR)
Flow Rate: Moderate to High; strong, random flow helps promote healthy growth and prevents detritus accumulation on plating surfaces
Food Requirements: Primarily photosynthetic via symbiotic zooxanthellae; may benefit from occasional amino acid supplementation or ultra-fine particulate coral foods
Aggression: Peaceful; does not possess sweeper tentacles but requires space due to encrusting and plating expansion
Placement: Best placed on stable rockwork in well-lit, high-flow areas where it can safely encrust and expand without shading nearby corals

We maintain a rigorous, veterinarian-approved quarantine program that includes proactive treatments, careful observation, and daily monitoring to ensure the highest standards of coral and invertebrate health. Our biosecurity practices reduce the risk of any cross-contamination between systems, meaning all our livestock are ready for your display tanks.
