WWC Purple Pinwheel Zoanthids are a highly sought-after designer zoanthid known for their bold spiral-like coloration and intense fluorescent glow. Each polyp typically features a deep violet to royal purple center accented by bright green or blue rings that create a distinctive “pinwheel” effect. The contrasting skirts often appear darker, helping to frame the vivid inner pattern and enhance the overall depth of each polyp. As colonies expand, they form dense, swirling mats of color that bring a dynamic, almost hypnotic look to reef aquariums. Under actinic or blue-spectrum lighting, their fluorescent pigments intensify dramatically, making the pinwheel pattern even more pronounced.
