Description:
WWC Kedds Reds Zoanthids are a striking red zoanthid variety that can add a vivid splash of color to any reef aquarium. Their rich red coloration becomes especially pronounced under blue and actinic lighting, making them an excellent choice for colorful reef displays. Like other zoanthids, they grow as interconnected colonies of individual polyps and can develop into attractive mats when provided with stable conditions and adequate space.

Coral Type: Soft Coral / Colonial Polyp
Lighting: Moderate – approximately 75–150 PAR
Flow Rate: Low to Moderate – gentle, indirect flow that keeps the polyps clean without causing excessive movement
Food Requirements: Primarily photosynthetic through their symbiotic zooxanthellae. Occasional fine particulate foods such as Reef Roids or Benereef can be offered to support growth and coloration.
Aggression: Peaceful to Semi-Aggressive – zoanthids can spread quickly and may eventually overgrow nearby corals.
Placement: Best placed on an isolated rock, frag island, or stable area with sufficient room for the colony to expand.

Safety Note: Zoanthids and Palythoa can contain palytoxin. Avoid unnecessary handling, and never cut, crush, boil, or use power tools on these corals. Use appropriate protective equipment and good ventilation when handling or fragging.
