Species: Zoanthus spp.
Coral Type: Soft Coral / Colonial Polyp
WWC Jungle Juice Zoanthids are a wildly colorful designer zoanthid known for their intense mix of greens, oranges, yellows, and purples that blend into a chaotic, high-energy pattern. Each polyp typically displays a neon green to yellow center surrounded by layered rings of orange, red, or teal with contrasting skirts, creating a “mixed cocktail” appearance reminiscent of dense jungle coloration. No two polyps look exactly the same, giving the colony a dynamic, ever-changing visual texture.
As colonies grow, they form dense mats that rapidly spread across rockwork, adding motion and saturated color to reef aquariums. Under actinic or blue-spectrum lighting, their fluorescent pigments intensify dramatically, producing a glowing, multi-hued display that stands out strongly in zoa gardens.
Coral Type: Soft Coral / Zoanthid
Lighting: Moderate (approximately 75–150 PAR)
Flow Rate: Low to Moderate; gentle, indirect water movement supports healthy polyp extension and helps prevent debris accumulation
Food Requirements: Primarily photosynthetic via symbiotic zooxanthellae; occasional feedings of fine particulate coral foods such as Reef Roids or Benereef may enhance growth and coloration
Aggression: Peaceful to Semi-Aggressive; generally reef-safe, though colonies can spread quickly and may overgrow nearby corals if not managed
Placement: Best placed on isolated rock islands or stable reef structures where colonies can expand freely under consistent lighting and flow conditions
We maintain a rigorous, veterinarian-approved quarantine program that includes proactive treatments, careful observation, and daily monitoring to ensure the highest standards of coral and invertebrate health. Our biosecurity practices reduce the risk of any cross-contamination between systems, meaning all our livestock are ready for your display tanks.
