WWC Joe Dirte Acropora
Species: Acropora spp.
Coral Type: SPS Coral / Branching Acropora
WWC Joe Dirte Acropora is a striking small polyp stony coral prized for its vibrant coloration, intricate branching structure, and strong fluorescent appearance under blue-spectrum lighting. As the colony develops, it produces densely packed branches covered in small polyps, creating a detailed and highly textured growth form. Its combination of vivid coloration and classic Acropora structure makes it an excellent addition to an established SPS reef aquarium.
Coral Type: SPS Coral / Acropora
Lighting: Moderate to High lighting requirements (approximately 200–400 PAR)
Flow Rate: Moderate to High; strong, turbulent water movement helps deliver nutrients and oxygen while keeping debris from accumulating between branches
Food Requirements: Primarily photosynthetic through symbiotic zooxanthellae; consistent nutrient availability and occasional feedings of fine particulate coral foods may support healthy growth and coloration
Aggression: Peaceful to Semi-Aggressive; generally non-aggressive, but adequate spacing should be maintained as the colony branches and expands toward neighboring corals
Placement: Best placed on stable mid-level to upper rockwork where it can receive strong, consistent lighting and turbulent flow. Allow sufficient room for the colony to branch and develop without contacting nearby corals.
We maintain a rigorous, veterinarian-approved quarantine program that includes proactive treatments, careful observation, and daily monitoring to ensure the highest standards of coral and invertebrate health. Our biosecurity practices reduce the risk of cross-contamination between systems, meaning all of our livestock are carefully quarantined and prepared for your display tank.
