WWC Habanero Montipora is a fiery SPS coral prized for its intense warm coloration and fast-growing encrusting to plating growth form. It develops smooth, layered plates and spreading sheets covered in fine polyps that give the surface a subtle velvety texture. The “Habanero” morph is especially sought after for its blazing orange, red, and ember-like tones often accented by contrasting fluorescent green or yellow polyps, creating a vivid “molten lava” appearance across the colony.
Under actinic or blue-spectrum lighting, the fluorescent pigments become exceptionally bright, making the coral glow with a hot, high-energy look that stands out strongly in SPS reef systems.
