WWC Blondies Zoanthid

Species: Zoanthus spp.

Coral Type: Soft Coral / Colonial Polyp

WWC Blondies Zoanthids are a bright, high-impact designer zoanthid known for their clean, “sunlit” coloration and strong fluorescent contrast. Each polyp typically features a soft blonde to golden-yellow center, often surrounded by lighter neon rings and subtle contrasting skirts that give the colony a crisp, glowing appearance. Their relatively clean color palette makes them stand out in mixed zoa gardens, especially under blue-spectrum lighting where their fluorescent tones become more pronounced. As colonies grow, they form tight, uniform mats that add a bright, shimmering field of color across rockwork.

Coral Type: Soft Coral / Zoanthid
Lighting: Moderate lighting requirements (approximately 75–150 PAR)
Flow Rate: Low to Moderate; gentle, indirect flow promotes healthy polyp extension and helps prevent debris buildup
Food Requirements: Primarily photosynthetic through symbiotic zooxanthellae; occasional feedings of fine particulate coral foods such as Reef Roids or Benereef may support improved growth and coloration
Aggression: Peaceful to Semi-Aggressive; generally reef-safe, though colonies may spread quickly and can encroach on nearby corals if not managed
Placement: Best placed on isolated rock islands or stable reef structures where colonies can expand freely under consistent lighting and flow conditions

We maintain a rigorous, veterinarian-approved quarantine program that includes proactive treatments, careful observation, and daily monitoring to ensure the highest standards of coral and invertebrate health. Our biosecurity practices reduce the risk of any cross-contamination between systems, meaning all our livestock are ready for your display tanks.
