Watchman – Yellow – Small – Halichoeres sp. (Yellow Watchman Wrasse)

The Yellow Watchman Wrasse is a vibrant, small wrasse with a bright yellow body accented by subtle blue markings near the eyes and fins. It is an active, curious fish that patrols the sandbed and lower rockwork, helping control small pest invertebrates while displaying its characteristic darting and hovering behavior. Its shy yet confident temperament makes it a fascinating addition to a peaceful reef community.

This species thrives in mature, stable reef tanks with plenty of live rock, hiding spots, and a deep sandbed for burrowing and foraging. Add only after the tank has fully cycled and parameters are stable. A minimum tank size of 30 gallons is recommended for a single small specimen.

The Yellow Watchman Wrasse accepts finely sized meaty foods from San Francisco, Hikari, PE, TDO, and New Life Spectrum, as well as live or frozen copepods and amphipods for optimal nutrition.
