Tulip Snail — Fasciolaria spp.
The Tulip Snail is a striking marine gastropod with an elongated, conical shell often patterned in shades of cream, brown, and pink, giving it a distinctive “tulip-like” appearance. Peaceful and slow-moving, it spends most of its time gliding across the substrate, scavenging for detritus, leftover meaty foods, and other organic matter, contributing to a clean and healthy aquarium. Its graceful movements and elegant shell make it a visually appealing addition to reef or sandbed setups.
Tulip Snails thrive in established reef or marine tanks with stable water parameters, moderate flow, and plenty of sand or rubble substrate for foraging. Introduce only to mature systems to ensure adequate food availability. A minimum tank size of 20 gallons is recommended to provide sufficient space for grazing and natural movement.
Their diet can be supplemented with finely chopped or pellet foods from San Francisco Bay Brand, Hikari, PE, TDO, and New Life Spectrum, alongside natural scavenging of detritus. Target feeding helps maintain health and encourages natural activity.
Approximate product size: 2"–4" (varies by availability)
We maintain a rigorous, veterinarian-approved quarantine program that includes proactive treatments, careful observation, and daily monitoring to ensure the highest standards of invertebrate health. Our biosecurity practices reduce the risk of any cross-contamination between systems, meaning our livestock are ready for your display tanks.
