Midas Blenny - Ecsenius midas

The Midas Blenny is an excellent inhabitant for any reef tank. It has a deep golden-yellow with a hint of blue under the chin and bright, blue-rimmed eyes.

This blenny will thrive in a minimum tank of 30 gallons or larger with lots of rockwork to hide among and to sit upon. While, peaceful, Midas blennies have been know to be slightly aggressive to other tankmates, knowingly gobies, and other blennies.  A larger reef tank is a better environment as its aggressive behavior is more noteworthy in smaller aquariums.

The Midas Blenny requires moderate water movement and an omnivorous diet consisting of meaty foods including finely chopped crustacean flesh, mysis and vitamin-enriched brine shrimp, along with frozen herbivorous preparations, micro and blue-green algae.
