The Midas Blenny is a vibrant and energetic reef fish known for its striking golden-yellow coloration and elongated, eel-like body shape. Reaching an adult size of approximately 5 inches, this species is highly active and spends much of its time swimming in the water column rather than remaining on the substrate like many other blennies. It is generally peaceful toward other reef inhabitants but may show mild territorial behavior toward similar-shaped blennies. Its bold color and active personality make it a standout addition to reef aquariums.

The Midas Blenny thrives in well-established reef systems with abundant live rock for grazing and retreat, along with open swimming space. A minimum tank size of 55 gallons is recommended to accommodate its active swimming behavior and reduce territorial stress. This species should be added after more timid fish are established but before introducing other blennies to minimize territorial disputes.
