Each polyp typically features a glowing mandarin-orange center, often accented by yellow to gold rings and contrasting darker skirts that enhance the overall depth and definition of the colony. Their bright, warm tones create a strong visual pop in reef aquariums, especially when colonies form dense mats across live rock. Under actinic or blue-spectrum lighting, their fluorescent pigments intensify, producing a radiant orange glow that stands out dramatically in mixed reef displays.
