The Choerodon fasciatus Harlequin Tusk is a vibrant wrasse featuring striking patterns of blue, green, and orange along its body, complemented by distinctive tusk-like teeth. Active and bold, it spends its time exploring reef structures, foraging for small invertebrates, and displaying dynamic swimming behavior. While generally reef-safe toward larger, non-aggressive tankmates, it may prey on small invertebrates, so caution is advised in invertebrate-heavy systems.

Harlequin Tusk Wrasses thrive in established reef tanks with stable water parameters, abundant live rock for foraging, and ample open swimming space. Introduce only to mature systems to reduce stress and ensure proper acclimation. A minimum tank size of 125 gallons is recommended to support their active behavior and territorial needs.

Their diet should include high-quality frozen or pellet foods from San Francisco Bay Brand, Hikari, PE, TDO, and New Life Spectrum, supplemented with meaty invertebrates to mimic natural feeding. Target feeding helps maintain vibrant coloration and optimal health.
