The Magnificent Foxface is a stunning rabbitfish species showcasing bold black-and-white patterning with rich yellow accents across the body and fins. Reaching 9–10 inches as an adult, it is an active swimmer with a calm, peaceful temperament suitable for larger reef and fish-only systems. Known for its excellent algae-grazing abilities, this species helps maintain a clean display while adding dramatic visual appeal. Its venomous dorsal spines are purely defensive, making it a safe and easy species to manage with proper handling awareness.
A minimum tank size of 125 gallons is recommended due to its adult size and need for ample swimming room. Add the Magnificent Foxface after your tank has matured and established strong biological filtration, as it thrives in stable, well-oxygenated environments. Provide open space for cruising along with rockwork for grazing and retreat.
