ECC Red Mini Carpet Anemone

ECC Red Mini Carpet Anemone

Species: Stichodactyla tapetum
Coral Type: Marine Anemone / Mini Carpet Anemone

Description:
ECC Red Mini Carpet Anemone features vibrant red coloration and a compact carpet-like appearance that adds a bold splash of color to a marine aquarium. Its textured oral disc and short tentacles create an attractive display, making it a popular choice for reef keepers looking for a colorful anemone. With stable water parameters, suitable lighting, and an established aquarium, this species can settle into a preferred location and thrive. As with other anemones, individual coloration and behavior may vary.

Coral Type: Mini Carpet Anemone
Lighting: Moderate — approximately 75–150 PAR, with gradual acclimation to new lighting
Flow Rate: Low to Moderate, with gentle indirect flow that allows natural movement without dislodging the anemone
Food Requirements: Photosynthetic through symbiotic algae; may accept occasional small portions of appropriately sized marine-origin meaty foods
Aggression: Can sting nearby animals and may capture small, slow-moving invertebrates or fish that come into contact with it. Allow adequate space from neighboring corals
Placement: Place on stable rock or suitable substrate in a secure location where it can attach. Monitor its position and protect pump intakes to reduce the risk of contact with aquarium equipment.

Quarantine & Biosecurity:
We maintain a rigorous, veterinarian-approved quarantine program designed to protect the health of our marine collection and help reduce the introduction of unwanted pests and pathogens. Each specimen is carefully inspected and monitored before being made available, providing an added layer of confidence when introducing new livestock to your aquarium.
