It typically features a deep base ranging from dark green to brown or charcoal, overlaid with intensely glowing emerald to neon green corallites that create a shimmering, jewel-like effect across the colony surface. Each polyp is raised and well-defined, giving the coral a crystalline, textured appearance that expands into dome-like growth forms over time. Under actinic and blue-spectrum lighting, the fluorescent pigments intensify dramatically, producing a radiant emerald glow that appears to pulse across the colony.
