ECC Doug's Red Bubble Tip Anemone

ECC Doug's Red Bubble Tip Anemone

Species: Entacmaea quadricolor
Coral Type: Sea Anemone / Bubble Tip Anemone

Description:
ECC Doug's Red Bubble Tip Anemone showcases striking red coloration and flowing tentacles that bring movement and vibrant color to a marine aquarium. Its distinctive appearance makes it an eye-catching addition to a suitable reef system, where it can settle into the rockwork and become a beautiful focal point. With stable water parameters, appropriate lighting, and a mature aquarium, this anemone can thrive and display its unique tentacle shapes. Bubble formation and coloration can vary depending on the individual and aquarium conditions.

Coral Type: Bubble Tip Anemone
Lighting: Moderate to High — approximately 150–300 PAR, with gradual acclimation to avoid sudden changes in light exposure
Flow Rate: Moderate, with indirect, varied flow that allows the tentacles to sway naturally
Food Requirements: Photosynthetic through symbiotic algae; may accept occasional small portions of marine-origin meaty foods
Aggression: Can sting neighboring corals and other sessile invertebrates. It may move around the aquarium, so allow ample space and monitor its position
Placement: Provide stable rockwork with crevices where the foot can securely attach. Protect pump intakes and powerheads in case the anemone moves through the aquarium.

Quarantine & Biosecurity:
We maintain a rigorous, veterinarian-approved quarantine program designed to protect the health of our marine collection and help reduce the introduction of unwanted pests and pathogens. Each specimen is carefully inspected and monitored before being made available, providing an added layer of confidence when introducing new livestock to your aquarium.
