The Blonde Naso Tang is a striking and elegant reef fish with a smooth, pale yellow to light tan body, highlighted by distinctive facial markings and a long, graceful tail fin. Known for its peaceful nature and impressive size, this tang is an active grazer, spending much of its time foraging on algae, helping to maintain a healthy and balanced reef tank. Though generally calm, it can become territorial when introduced to smaller or similarly shaped fish, so caution is recommended.

Blonde Naso Tangs thrive in large, established reef tanks with stable water parameters, plenty of live rock for grazing, and ample open swimming space. Because of their size and active swimming behavior, they require a minimum tank size of 125 gallons. Larger tanks (180 gallons or more) are ideal to support their natural behavior and territorial needs.

Their diet should include high-quality algae-based foods such as Julian Sprung’s Sea Veggies, along with high-quality frozen or pellet foods from San Francisco Bay Brand, Hikari, PE, TDO, and New Life Spectrum. Supplementing with meaty foods can support optimal health, vibrant coloration, and robust activity. Target feeding encourages grazing and promotes healthy growth.
